uvel&vvel at northern and eastern boundaries are always zero

uvel&vvel at northern and eastern boundaries in history or restart files from regional modeling are always zero no matter lateral boundary conditions are updated or not. But other variables such aicen are not. I have read the code for a while,but couldn't find any clue. Anyone met that case ？ Many thanks.

Not sure what domain you are talking about here, but are you sure the boundaries are not masked as land points? Open boundary conditions can often be tricky. What if you do cyclic?

Thank you so much for your message. Yes, the northern boundary is masked land in uvm. I guess the eastern boundary is similar. In global simulation, there is no such problem. Thanks again.
