Location of CLM5.0 land use files

Hi all,

I'm trying to reproduce some CLM5 input files I generated on Cheyenne a while back, using the mksrfdata_map tool. For consistency reasons I need to use the historical files from CLM5.0 rather than the newer CTSM5.2 ones which have different land use. The filenames are:

mksrf_landuse_histclm50_LUH2_<year>.cdf5.c170629.nc

Previously these files were stored in the now defunct /glade/p/. Looking in the new location for input files, there is a matching directory at:

/glade/campaign/cesm/cesmdata/cseg/inputdata/lnd/clm2/rawdata/pftcftdynharv.0.25x0.25.LUH2.histsimyr1850-2015.cdf5.c170629

But the only files it contains are 1850-1855 and 2000-2007, and I need 2000-2014. Does anyone in TSS know where I could find these files? If anyone has them knocking around in a work or scratch directory, it would be great to be pointed to them.

Thanks,

James

Hi James,

In /rawdata I also see
/glade/campaign/cesm/cesmdata/inputdata/lnd/clm2/rawdata/pftcftlandusedynharv.0.25x0.25.MODIS.simyr1850-2015.c170412
/glade/campaign/cesm/cesmdata/inputdata/lnd/clm2/rawdata/pftcftlandusedynharv.0.25x0.25.MODIS.simyr1850-2015.c170327
These contain the full range of 1850 to 2015 from what I can tell. However, if you need the specific time stamp c170629, then you will need to reach out to Peter Lawrence.

Hi Sam,

Thanks, I'll try these and compare to my existing files to see if there are any differences. Will also get in touch with Peter.

Looks like the old data are still around but are stored in a directory to which I don't have access:

/glade/campaign/cesm/development/lmwg/thesis/data/surfacedata

Have passed on an access request.
