Running CESM2 WACCM CARMA

Hello, I am trying to use the recent integration of CARMA into CESM2 and WACCM (described here). I have checked out the developmental version of CAM that contains the CARMA integrations from this github repo and replaced the CAM version in CESM2.2 release with this developmental version.

My questions are:
1. which aerosols contribute to surface area density calculations in the stratosphere? I have seen two answers - (sulfate, nitric acid trihydrate, and water ice) or (sulfate, black carbon, and organic aerosols). I've linked the sources of these two answers.

2. Is there documentation for adding a new tracer into CARMA?

3. In CAM 5.3, you can use the configure utility to specify using carma with
Code:
-carma <name>
where <name> is the name of a CARMA model. Do I use the same procedure for the new CARMA integration into CAM6? I am looking for documentation on how to set up a case with CARMA aerosols modeling with the new integration.

4. Can CARMA and MAM4 be used together in the same case? The current release of CARMA in CESM2.2 has a CARMA dust model that indicates that CARMA dust does not override dust in CAM, so I am wondering if CARMA dust is handled with CARMA and the remaining dust computed in CAM is treated by MAM4.

Thank you for your help!
