Can we run CESM model for regional studies?

Dear all, I am a new user of CESM. For my regional research, I am essentially searching for a coupled land surface - atmospheric model, like CLM-CAM. I can see that CESM is a global model but is there any way to mask model for my region or change the study domain?

This is a bigger question. People have done this. There is a lot of discussion of running CLM in a regional setting. I am going to move this to the CLM forum to start.

I don't think you can run CAM regionally, but you could nudge the atmospheric circulation to reanalysis outside of the domain you're interested in if you wanted to constrain it that way but you would still have the computational expense of the global domain.
